What a day

Wow. I ran 3.12 miles, biked 17 miles, lifted weights, and yard work. What the hell was I thinking? The upside, I most have burned a crap load of calories and built some muscle.

I feel like getting some toning and especially core strength will be so important for the marathon.
In other news... my bosses have all still failed to donate to my marathon charity. Not gonna lie - pissing me off.

Off to the foot guy

Hopefully the running drought ends today. I see the orthopedic guy at noon and hope he can come up with a fix for my PF. We've been having a good time with yard work - no really! I think we have made some real progress in the yard. I have also enjoyed getting back on the bike as I haven't been able to run. I might do more riding this summer than last year.

Music

Two nights - two very different, but equally enjoyable shows. Metal on Wednesday and Bluesfolkgospel on Thursday. So good.

Martin Sexton is an incredible talent - so sad he isn't as well known as those big "stars".

Two nights of late nights and early mornings is taking their toll, but I can still party with the best of them. Take that life at 40.

Plantar faciatis

PF sucks... I've been running for close to a year with minimal issues and no PF - now as I start to train for the marathon, PF. Well, F that. I'll do whatever I have to short of not running to get rid or deal with this.

Fell off the blogging wagon recently... I'm signed up for the Chicago Marathon and I am both excited and nervous. I think I can do it, but I am worried about staying on top of the training. I also have to raise $800 - which I thought would be easy, but is off to a slow start. So, my two health issues wound up on "House" the last two weeks. Leiden and Chiari Malformation. Not sure of I like this or if it makes me uncomfortable. Good old CM, since I was eighteen you have haunted me.
